It might seem weird to BBQ on a snow day, but my hunky husband and I picked up some flank steaks at Costco this weekend, and this is the ONLY way to cook them. So delicious. He whips up this simple marinade, we let it sit overnight, and the next night we throw it on the grill. It’s my favorite thing my husband cooks, and he cooks a lot of good things. 😉 I’m a lucky lady.
INGREDIENTS:
1/4 C soy sauce
3 Tablespoons honey
2 Tablespoons white vinegar
1/2 Teaspoon of ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 C vegetable oil
DIRECTIONS:
In a blender, combine soy sauce, honey, vinegar, ginger, garlic powder, and vegetable oil. Blend for 15 seconds.
Lay the flank steak in a shallow glass dish. Pierce flesh all over front and back with a fork. Pour marinade over steak, then turn and coat the other side. Cover and refrigerate at least 8 hours.
Preheat an outdoor grill on high heat. Place on grate on highest level and brush lightly with marinade. Grill steak for 15-20 minutes, turning once, to desired doneness. Let it rest before cutting. Enjoy!
