So, personally, I think that Brussels sprouts get a bad rap. A lot of people don’t like them. I am convinced that is because they have only had the frozen and then boiled to death variety.
These particular Brussels sprouts will blow your mind.
They are sauteed with a perfect medley of bacon, garlic, and butter, and they are melt-in-your-mouth delicious. Are they healthy? No. But I guarantee, even your kids will “eat their Brussels sprouts!”
Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbs fresh Brussels sprouts, cleaned and halved
4 tablespoons of butter
2 cloves fresh garlic, minced
2 chicken bouillon cubes
3 slices of minced bacon
pepper to taste
Directions:
Prepare a pot of boiling water and blanch the Brussels sprouts in it for about 3 minutes. Drain and set aside.
Cook the bacon in a large frying pan. Mince it before you cook it, it will cook much faster. Add garlic, butter, bouillon, and cook until garlic is tender. Add Brussels sprouts to the mix, and saute for about 5 minutes over medium low heat. Season with pepper and enjoy!
Bacon…what's not to like. I love brussels sprouts. This is siimple and quick. Great side. Thanks.
Exactly, how bad could these possibly be? đŸ˜‰ Thanks for visiting!
