So, I have to say that this is my favorite dinner recipe I’ve found on Pinterest so far. It is so, so, so simple and easy, and it is so delicious. Like, amazingly delicious. The moment I tasted the finished product, I thought “Oh, Shannon- you have outdone yourself.” Hahahaha. 🙂
The way the pork is cooked just makes it totally fork tender- it just melts in your mouth, along with a sweet sauce that compliments the pork perfectly, especially if served over some creamy garlic mashed potatoes.
Seriously, try this recipe. Yes, beer, ketchup, and brown sugar sounds a little weird. Just go with it. You’ll love this dinner, and so will your kids.
Recipe Adapted from Siggy Spice
5-6 pork chops- bone-in or boneless,- I used boneless
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1 cup of flour
1 bottle of beer (The recipe called for the darker the better, but I will admit, I used Keystone Light, because that was what I had in my fridge- and it was awesome.)
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup ketchup
1 chicken bouillion cube
1 tsp hot sauce *to taste
Put a little bit of extra virgin olive oil in the bottom of a skillet. Combine the flour with the salt and pepper, dip each chop in the mixture, and place into the skillet to brown both sides.
While pork chops are browning, combine beer, ketchup, bouillion, hot sauce, and brown sugar in a bowl. Pour sauce mixture over the pork chops and simmer for 40-45 minutes.
Serve over mashed potatoes or rice.

Had the meighbors over and made this for dinner tonight with jasmine rice & apple sauce, so dang good!! I doubled the recipe, dry rubbed my chops first and used Red Stripe beer, these were fabulous!! Thanks for sharing

I made this and my family loved it. I wrote about it here. For some reason the sauce had a really ammonia aroma. Maybe it was the beer I used, or the cold, or hormones? However, I was the only one who noticed it. Like I said above, my family loved it! Hooray! I love making food my family enjoys. Thanks for sharing your recipe.
