|Wendy’s Style Chili|
I love the chili and Wendy’s. It’s one of the lower-calorie filling items on their menu, and on lazy days when I take my kids to the park and let them have fast food for lunch, I will pick up a bowl of the chili for myself. So, when I saw this recipe for Wendy’s Copycat Chili on Mama Loves Food, I knew I would have to try it immediately.
It was very, very good. In fact, I made it 4 days ago, and I’m sitting here still eating it for leftovers, and I daresay it is even better than it was the first day.
I did make a couple of changes; I halved the recipe (if you make this entire recipe, you will have a butt-ton of chili), I made mine in the crockpot, and I used Great Northern beans instead of kidney beans, because I prefer them.
This recipe is a keeper, and perfect for a fall day.

This recipe looks delicious, & I cannot wait to try it!!! I just got back from purchasing all of the needed ingredients, & plan to use our crock pot too. I have a couple questions- Did you brown & drain the beef before putting it in the crock pot? My crock pot only has a low or high setting… I'm guessing low would be the appropriate setting. Last question, does it take the full 6 hours to cook in the crock pot before it is done? Thanks for your help. 🙂
Hi Kinsey Family!Yes, definitely brown and drain the beef before throwing it in. Keep your crockpot on low for 6 hours, and it should turn out perfectly. Hope you enjoy, and thanks for visiting!
Thank you for getting back to me, we're making this chili for dinner tonight, we're so very excited to try this recipe out.
