Festive Mimosas with Pear Flair

You might be thinking: Why would I need a recipe for mimosas? It’s just champagne and orange juice.  Well, instead of posting an obvious recipe, I just want to share the cutest idea ever: decorating the glasses with fruit shapes.  For my friend’s bridal shower, I made regular mimosas, but added a spash of grenadine, and the best part: thinly sliced pears which I cut into hearts with a small cookie cutter, put a small slit on the side, and added some flair to the side of the glass!

It occurred to me that I could do this for any holiday, any cold drink, any shape, and a variety of different fruits.  This idea will be a staple for parties and showers to come at the Chez McDowell. 🙂
