Vietnamese Iced Coffee

Vietnamese Iced Coffee I Rumbly in my TumblyBefore we moved about a year and a half ago, my husband and I lived for 6 years about a block from Than Brothers, which is the best Pho on the face of the earth.  We would go in there all the time to be served steaming hot bowls of noodle soup with chicken and cilantro, and we would always wash it down with a delicious cream puff and a cup of Vietnamese Iced Coffee.

For all you coffee lovers, this is the ultimate treat.  Strong brewed coffee (or espresso) served over ice with sweetened condensed milk.

It is a simply glorious treat.

Enjoy it on a hot summer day, with dessert after a dinner party, or like I did this morning, on a crisp fall morning with your breakfast.

Ingredients:

2 shots of brewed espresso
ice
2 tablespoons of sweetened condensed milk.

Directions:

Fill your cup with ice.  Pour two tablespoons of sweetened condensed milk on top.  Pour espresso down the center of the ice, and mix well to disolve the milk.

Enjoy.
