Happy New Year, everyone!
Here were my top recipes from 2013.
#10 Hearty Slow Cooker Beef Stew– I am a beef stew lover from way back, but this new recipe I tried this year is one of the greats. Thick and filling, even my soup-hating husband couldn’t complain.
#9 Petite Vanilla Bean Scones from Starbucks. This recipe saved me a lot of money. It is identical (no, it’s better) than the ones they sell at Starbucks that my daughter always begs for.
#8 P.F. Chang’s Knock Off Mongolian Beef. This has become one of my favorite quick and easy dinners this year.
#7 Candy Corn Sugar Cookie Bars. A fun, festive, a different Halloween dessert. Tasty, too!
#6 Garlic Herb Chicken Con Broccoli. My version of The Olive Garden’s famous dish. Perfect.
#5 Homemade Maple Bars using Refrigerated Biscuit Dough. Warm, homemade, easy to make maple bars. Enough said.
#4 Cinnamon Twist Knots. Cinnamon- my biggest addiction. This was my personal favorite new recipe from 2013. They are super easy, made with refrigerated pizza dough, taking only minutes to throw together. They are beautiful, and they are INSANELY good.
#3 Cinnamon Roll Quick Bread. My favorite thing about this recipe, besides the fact that it was delicious and homey, was that I had all the ingredients just sitting in my pantry! Easy!
#2 Softbatch Cream Cheese Chocolate Chip Cookies. I was worried about the cream cheese in these, but you can’t even taste it. Just the softest, best chocolate chip cookie you’ve ever eaten.
#1 Apple Fritter Bread. This amazing bread deserves my top spot this year, because it was ah-mazing. It is like a cinnamon roll bread, but it is filled with delicious apples and tastes just like the doughnut, but much healthier. (Well, a little healthier, anyway, since it isn’t deep fried.)
Hope everybody has a safe and healthy and happy 2014!
